Title: Couple of questions.
Post by: Meta on November 08, 2008, 10:06:15 PM
Firstly, I stupidly upgraded my system before even knowing what Homebrew was (well, I had a rough idea, but didn't have any reason to use it). I have the October 23rd update, although I have Homebrew working, Gecko OS certainly doesn't. I simply get a screen with a blue background and a black screen, with no options available. The main reason I want to use it, is due to the fact that I live in Australia and I want to buy the NTSC version of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, and don't want to wait 286 years.

Anyway, I've noticed that Ocarina for some reason does work, and that it also can boot imports (it still boots my Japanese version of Smash Brothers). Is there any really obvious things that might stand in the way of Ocarina booting Tales of Symphonia as well? And is this black screen, blue border thing a known issue? I could just be doing something stupid, I'm known for that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I got it working after reading some other topics.

Everyone should ignore this question and insult me for being so damn stupid or something (I had the GC memory cards in >_>).
