Title: Taiko no Tatsujin- Will the drum work?
Post by: GreenScar on October 26, 2008, 08:53:09 PM
Well? The reason I ask is that the Rock Band US instruments don't work, according to the Gecko OS WiiBrew page, and I figured it could affect Taiko too.

I know it's hard to be certain, but still, I felt I better ask at least. Help is appreciated.

I too am interested in this game but unsure if the drum will work. Could someone please put us out of our misery?

I have made an account explicitly and singularly for the inquiry of this game; I, unfortunately have nothing more to add to this thread but my enthusiastic hope for a hasty reply. I have not imported many games, but I do enjoy fansubbed anime immensely, and hear, even if localized, which is not likely, that Taiko Master will most likely have a localized song list as well, which means that the songs that I care about in the first place will probably be removed.

In any case, I thank whoever can give a definitive answer in regards to compatibility with the Taiko software and hardware.

One PS however: Having the Gecko OS software should be sufficient to play the Japanese version on American hardware correct? Or do I need to buy additional hardware?

Well, if you read the WiiBrew page you'd see that Menu Loader apparently does work with the controller peripherals, so if GeckoOS doesn't work you can always try that.

I'm a bit surprised external controllers wouldn't be supported; I guess it's something to do with how GeckoOS launches the game.
