Title: What is happening?
Post by: Hyrulian_Royalty on October 26, 2008, 05:24:57 PM
The Homebrew Channel said there was an update for it so I accepted and updated.  Now, whenever I try to start any homebrew application such as Gecko OS or the Homebrew Browser, I get the message "Error, this is not a valid Wii application."  What is going on and how do I fix it??

EDIT: Quake starts up fine...hmmmm....

EDIT: At a closer look there are certain things that work and certain ones that do not.  Most Emulators don't work, Gecko doesn't work, Ocarina doesn't worker, the Homebrew Browser doesn't work, Operation Game doesn't work, but stuff like duck hunt, quake, Dragon Media Player, Movie Player and SD Card Explorer work.

The latest homebrew channel update breaks any homebrew that has been using elf files.  You can get a fixed package of Gecko OS here:
