Title: Finding Wiimote Accel/IR Data in RAM
Post by: biolizard89 on October 16, 2008, 04:30:41 AM
I know that you can find the Wiimote's button state in RAM, for use as an activator in codes.  Is the accelerometer/IR data and the other Wiimote data in the same location?  Is it just stored as one of the Wiimote data reports as described on Wiibrew (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Wiimote#Data_Reporting)?  Or is a different format commonly used?  Or does the format vary wildly between games?  If the Wiimote data report is stored as-is, is the report ID (0x30-0x3f) stored in the same place?  If not, how would I find what data report type is being used?

Thanks.

[I previously posted this in the wrong forum, now it's in the correct forum]

You can activate the auto-update function in the memory viewer in the area of the button activators.. If I remember correctly both accelerometer and pointer data can be found in that area. However: please be aware that it is hard to read!
