Three parts, I figured I'd show everybody's wavedash and ... it's mostly me messing around with it.
Part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd73w74ZWpo)
Part 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBV8CCLJsfM)
Part 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKCDdBzRK1A)
Edit: Part 2 is now up.
Edit Part 3 is now up.
Added Part 2 for those curious about the next ones.
Oh boy. Now I get to wavedash in Brawl! Ah, good times.
I wonder if we'll implement this in the professional scene.
Personally, I think it would be strange to use hacks in a big tournament, but meh. When I go to a professional tournament, it would feel so strange playing with hacks.
Awesome code though.
Nice job, smk, and nice quality too. Can't wait for the rest of the characters :)
And a question about wavedashing: When I used it myself, wavedashing seemed easier with some characters than others. Was it like that in Melee too?

Yes. The less traction a character has, easier it is to wavedash. E.G. Luigi's the best wavedasher.
Part 3 was added to the OP and apparently, I forgot TL's WD in my editing so... I accidentally cut him out! I had stuff recorded but, cut him out without realizing it! Anyway, his was kind of like Marth's length anyway.
Enjoy.

Doesn't hurt to google it.
wave dashing is just sliding on the floor, that's it?
Yeah I've seen these and tried them.
It is wavedashing, but it seems kinda different than the SSBM wavedashing.
this makes ice climbers even better
That is Awesome ;D

No, it gives you a few split seconds of invicibility in which you can still move, attack, jump, dodge etc.
Plus, for many characters it's a faster and extremely efficient method of moving and landing.
Used correctly you can do some crazy techniques, for instance, if I was playing as Marth against an average player, I could wavedash a few times at the start, do several chaingrabs, and spike the opponent in all of about 5 seconds if it was done well.
That is why wavedashing is so important.
