I have the same problem, but I don't have an sd media launcher, and I never got the silly Action Replay way to work, so I have to use the gamecube homebrew launcher. When the launcher launches gecko OS for the cube, it complains about no disc, even when there is a disc in, and it just freezes and doesn't spin the disk if I put one in.

sorry to double post but it's because the gamecube homebrew launcher disables loading regular GCN disks 0.o

It loads normal gamecube disks fine, and even apps that use gamecube discs in gamecube mode work fine (such as sd boot and usb load). It is just Gecko OS won't spin up the disc in gamecube mode.

You use usb boot with a usb gecko, sd load with a sd gecko (I have both ).

Right, so lemme just get to the bottom:
Is it possible to use Ocarina / Gecko OS to load cheat lists on GCN games on the Wii WITHOUTany SD-Booters, etc.? I mean, the same way as you use cheats in Wii games. Just make the files and export them to the SD? Then you boot up HBC + Gecko OS and it auto-loads the cheat list?
If possible, what would be the apps required?

No, it is not currently possible. However, it might be added in the future.

i think binding the disc to the drive means you cant press eject and get the disc out

Hmm, ok. In that case, GeckoOS still won't work. :-( Can anyone confirm this?

still doesn't work. Easiest way is use Wii Update File Extractor on Pokemon Battle Revolution, Big Brain Academy, or Metroid Prime 3. Other games may have (RVL-)MIOS-v4, but i only listed the most popular ones. Anyways just rip that off an old one and install with wad manager and you can load your GCN action replay which is almost just as good as GeckoOS (except no wiiRD support )

Quick question: if I have a USB Gecko and boot a GC game with GeckoOS 1.7 (Wii), Wiird will see the game and let me "edit" the ram (basically cheating)?
