Is it possible to make button mapping codes, like let's take for example Mario 64 with a Classic controller, well they put a and b on their respective a b buttons, but it was much more practical having the punch button right over the jump button.

Is there any way to invert certain buttons?

More predominently my own needs are from an adapter that plugs N64/SNES/NES/SEGA controllers as a GCN controller. And nintendo's change in button mapping in Zelda Ocarina of Time, Zelda Majora's Mask and Mario Kart, where Z is mapped to R (GCN)

I am thinking maybe we are able to make some code that would act as a trigger to other button's functions... like a button activator for any classic codes.

That would be really class, and that would allow anyone to configure any games as he suits.

Yes it's possible. Try it out yourself first and everyone will help you.
You can pm me, I've got time for your troubles.

If there's any code at all that you want to be button activated, or even able to toggle on & off, and I have the game, just PM me and I'll make it happen

I was hacking cheats on PSX for Gameshark and I am comfortable with the formula and methods of hacking, but I must say I don't understand most of it, I just know how things work...

I don,t have necessary equipment to hack cheats on wii.

I used to hack all sort of cheats for simple snes games, like editing values for money or HP things like that

It can be done, I've seen a few games like Resident Evil 4 and Okami where the button layout was changed, but you need the USB Gecko and you need to find where the game reads the pad data.

can you help people to do it for every game?
Could be useful.
Btw. if the game allows you to remapp buttons, does it help a lot to find the right place?

I would need cheats for only 3 N64 titles

Ocarina of Time:
Map GCN L to Z

Majora's mask:
Map GCN L to Z

Mario Kart 64:
Map GCN C down to Z (I think that's the button used to use items)

BTW I think we have to put the Wads on the Wii itself rather than an SD in order to get it to work with gecko OS? No?
