I was talking purely about the language being understood.

It's like saying that hitler was very powerful and one of the greatest and influential leaders of all time.

That does not mean that you agree with anything he did. I dont think anyone in their right mind would say that what hitler did was "good"

I had a German roommate in college and my gf was being a control freak and I said "Oh my god, stop being a nazi!" and my roommate's jaw dropped, eye's popped wide open and he gasped like I just stabbed her. It was freakin hilarious to witness the cultural difference.
