Okay. So.

A while ago, while playing SSBB at my friends house on my wii that I brought over, I was about to test a moveset I had made in Smash ATtacks, and the game just crapped out. For some reason the disk could not be read.  Now, my Wii cannot read ANY disks. I sent it to nintendo, but they refused to fix it because I had the Homebrew channel installed.

I have tried to dump the games and load them from my USB, so I can still play my wii, but whenever I load any Wii dumping tools on the Homebrew channel, all I get is a black screen. BTW my Wii was firmware 3.3 when it crashed (I never updated it) and I thought that updating might fix it, so now its 4.2U

ANY help would be awesome.

I already have a lens cleaner, and I already used it. All it did was let me see the intro of SSBB, and then it could not be read. Also updating my Wii didn't get rid of homebrew for some reason. Although if it did, I could not get t back, cause SSBB is not reconized by my wii.

Replace the drive? How?

Also I was trying to dump my games and use a USB loader, but the app on the Homebrew channel just gave me a black screen.

you need cIOS for USB Loader!
start USB Loader, insert Disc and Dump it on your Hard drive.
if your lens is broken, try to find a download for SSBB.

btw the ISO file is 8GB big. so try to find SSBB DVD5 (4GB)

or disassembly your wii and clean your lens.
you also can use nintendos lens Disc cleaner.

Thanks for the help. Will dissasembling the wii be worth it, and cost less than buying a new one?

Thanks. All the help is awesome.

It's about $90 for a new drive, and about $2 for the screwdriver (off of deal extreme [they don't sell the drives tho :(]) so if you want you could just get a new drive.
