Well, I couldn't figure out how to get the homebrew channel to read the Savegame Extractor, so I continued using codes without backing up my save. Now my Luigi's Mansion and Mushroomy Kingdom don't work.

I'm gonna assume its because the game thinks there's no music for it like... whoever that was said. So, a "Have All Songs" code may fix it. But, surprisingly enough, one hasn't been made yet.

Just curious, its not actually necessary to anything I am doing... but do the cheats still work if you remove the SD card after the game has already booted?

I assume they do because that was how action replay worked, also, the game seems to forget about the SD card after you turn on teh hax.

Anyway, does anyone know? I'll probably test it out later once by brother gets off of the Wii.

I personally think... something overrides the My Music values, probably either to a negative value or something else.

with the status modifier how you make your hp 999 in stamina

You should have asked why it wasn't being read. Most likely, you didn't change it from its application name to boot.elf (that's what you needed to do). Well, good luck getting your save back to normal then, though, I doubt you'll be able to. :cry

I tested it myself before, I came back here, but thanks anyway. :)

EDIT:
Looking over the recent posts about buttons, and assigning codes to them... I think it wouldn't be too hard to make a 'cycle through' button code, that lets you cycle through statuses, or characters, or whatever..

I remember that they used to have one of those in New Super Mario Brothers for the Action replay DS which dealt with items... maybe someone has a code for "press button for item" for New Super Mario Brothers, so I could compare it to the cycle through items code, and look at the differences. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Oh, and if it makes any difference, the buttons to cycle through were L and R.. So if anyone has a code for "Press L/R for mega mushroom" or whatever that would be great.

I can post the code for cycle through items if anyone needs it.

DOUBLE EDIT:
Actually, Super Mario Galaxy has some code for cycling through powerups.. does anyone have the button codes for that game? I'm sure a similar code could be created and manipulated for brawl.

Well, I'll just delete my save, then. But I will make a backup just in case a way to fix it is found in the future.

10000098 000000yy
E0000000 80008000

To edit other codes, just add this before the first line, and change xxxx for the buttons.  If you want it to be, let's say A and B to be pressed, you add the bytes together for 0380. (0180+0280)

When used mid-battle, this character modifier doesn't simply reload the character.. it appears to reload the player entirely. All damage, stock, etc.. is completely reset. Even after a character has been defeated, they can respawn using this code. (And, likewise, if only two people are fighting one another..  the match will end immediately, because it thinks Player 1 left while it is in the middle of reloading him..)

I know the intended use of this was to change your character BEFORE battle, but.. I wonder if it is possible to create something that lets you change on the fly without losing your damage or.. at the least, without having your stock reset? I mean, several characters transform mid-battle (Zelda being the best case) so I'd assume it'd be remotely possible..

its really annoying because if you have the characters set to essential buttons like a or b they become unusable since if you even try to attack you just turn into a different character

GaryCXJk

The Dark Characters code is wrong and could be simplified.

Modifier (P1)
4A000000 90180F20
100000B5 000000XX
E0000000 80008000

XX:
+08: Dark costume
+10: Is active (uncertain)
+20: Is player (uncertain)

Technically you could just use 08 for XX to make it dark, but I've found out all players at least have +30.

By the way, I use +xx, but technically it's |xx.
