Heh, just had a complete new thing happen wile using stage mod online with anyone, after the results screen when I pushed A to go back to character select, the Wii froze. (Complete with the buzzing sound lol)

Well, we've got 242 values left, so it might be possible.

Anyway, I have a theory about players 5 and 7. I believe you will not be able to enable them in regular play. However, for that, I would love to see a dump of a normal versus play from the character data, first at the stage selection screen, before anything has been loaded, and after the stage has been loaded when the game starts.

My theory is that character data, like attack ratio multipliers and character sizes only get set at the start of each round, not after setting the characters in character select. So, during the initialization of the data, the character data won't get read, resulting in the characters set at players five to seven not to be loaded.

So, what I also need is the offset of the data where the "selected character" gets stored. Note that the selected character is not the same as the character set at a given player. If this data is found, I would also like to see if the data changes during the main menu and other modes, like coin launcher, to see if the value can be changed without consequences.

So if what I think is right here... as you would find where selected character data is stored we would be able to use the player 5,6,7 code online? (Probably only when your the loser though as thats the only time you can choose CPU online.)

Well even if it doesn't work online can't wait. :irule:

EDIT: And since my Wii Froze online I can't connect to a Basic Brawl. (Not sure if Friends work as no one is online now.)

(*Gets backup Data*)

Good thing Installing what I had backed up fixed it. =P

Though my game froze at a different spot from yours when it happened. (at the results)

EDIT: Acctualy... I hope I didn't break the other 2 people's wifi that I was facing. D=

Yeah, see, this is why I say that a warning should be put on the stage mods when using online, it brings no good eventually.

You shouldn't have because when I went back on after fixing it, we (MLX and I) didn't keep getting DC'ed the same way every match like before. So, their Wi-Fi shouldn't be messed up because they weren't using any codes.

By the way when I installed the Backup is it still on my SD card?

Found the bug in my Custom Stages on Wifi Test code. If the random stage happened to be a custom stage, it would load that stage instead of the last on you played on. I will try to think of a different activator.

Veritech Fox

Would turning of custom stages in random work? (For now)

GaryCXJk

Okay, so, a semi-solution to the stage-builder-makes-other-stages-crash-crash. It only works on a (finished) Subspace Emissary though, and only retrieves the characters:

[list=1]
  • Load up the Save Extractor and back up the current game.
  • On your PC, back up the save data.
  • In-game, remove all data.
  • Load up the Save Extractor and back up the new game.
  • On your PC, copy back ADVSV0.BIN and ADVSV1.BIN to the main save.
  • Load your SSE file.
  • ???
  • PROFIT
  • Sort of...

If you want your Vault data back also, just copy COLLECT.VFF as well.

And by 9., what do you mean "Soft of..." do you lose match data and Wi-Fi data or something?

I think he means "PROFIT... sort of..."
