Hey there :)

Subtitles are weird (something like: "@@moviedata@@@"), the trick on a real Gamecube is to set console language in English, but setting it in the Wii through Gecko OS config menu doesn't work :/

I'm using a Gecko OS 1.07b with PAL Wii

Can't you set your Wii to English just to check if it changes something?

If yes, then that'd be something to inspect for Gecko OS Gamecube!

I already changed Wii's language from Italian to English, but I still get weird subtitles :(

I used to get that issue on gamecube when the bios laguage was set to french, changed it to english, and worked fine.
I'm not sure what to tell you...are you sure your console is really correctly set to english ?

I bought today this game and I can confirm that the NTSC version works fine in my PAL Wii with the language set to standard.I have one important question though. As I have component cables for my Wii and Baten Kaitos Origins supports progressive scan, how is it possible to play the game in 480p?I tried to force PAL 60 and NTSC mode but the display is always 480i.What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Try holding down the B button on the GC controller when loading the game. If the game has Progressive Mode then it'll ask you to enable it or not, otherwise NO.
