hi,

GeckoOS allows me to play NMH and Manhunt 2 NTSC on european Wii. thank you.
but Nintendo released an update today and people say rebooter doesnt work anymore. whats important to me: will i still be able to run my imports? and is the cheat engine also working? want to play mh2 100% uncut. i dont pirate, so if scummvm and imports work i got no problem updating it. could someone confirm?

I don't see why the games wouldn't work, unless they are using the signing bug.  However, I am not certain, so I would advise you to not update until someone can confirm it.

It would appear that Nintendo is using the fakesigning bug, according to WiiBrew. At least, that's what I got out of it.

It works, no problem.

If you have the HBC installed you can run the GeckoOS as usual, you don't even need the rebooter you know (although is still works flawlessly on 3.3E).

The only changes with the 3.3 update are (more or less) destroying the Freeloader (Datel's) and forcing you to update the Twilight Hack. Neither of which you probably have to care about.

There is a new update that was released yesterday, which fixes the signing bug on all IOS versions, and adds an IOS51.  This may cause games which use the signing bug to not work on GeckoOS...

I haven't updated myself.. however, reading update details please let me summarize:
-Rebooter is written to work with 3.2 and 3.3 menus.. as the menu was not updated.. if you can get into Gecko OS I'd guess you can still use Rebooter
-I have positive reports about Gecko OS working with the new update
-All I know.. WAD installation of any form (including HBC) fails... already installed WADs should work

I have read posts on Tehskeen and GBAtemp that say that the Rebooter function of GeckoOS is broken with this update...

I doubt it does, but does the Rebooter use the signing bug in any manner?

well, that's strange then.. :(
as the system menu technically hasn't changed, I'm wondering how this works!

Yeah...So I foolishly rushed into this update and am regretting it so far.  It's true, rebooter on GeckoOS no longer works, among other minor things...Is there any way I can downgrade now that I've done this?  I've been trying to load PatchMii and cIOS's, but nothing like that seems to work now that I've updated...any ideas?   Thanks in advance.  :(

no chance. latest hbc works. gecko works and rebooter will hopefully get fixed. quake, doom and scummvm work - thats enough for me. i dont copy games and stuff. now on latest firmware and enjoying it.

stinking pirates should stop now. i love homebrew but pirating games sucks.

It seems that Gecko OS currently uses a fakesigned ticket to load the menu.  I'm not sure if it is completely necessary or not, so I'm not sure whether or not it can be fixed.
